HEATERS: Mica strip heaters are best suited for uses
involving low to moderate temperatures. Mica strip bands also offer a wide variety
of terminations. Strip band heaters feature thin construction and high quality
insulation for effective heat transfer and excellent dielectric qualities. Top
quality Cr20Ni80 elements are used in all our heaters. Mica strip band heaters
can handle up to approximately 900°F. APPLICATIONS:
Ideally suited for plastics industry applications. Strip
band heaters can be used for heating commodity resins in injection molding machines,
extruders, blow molding machines, plastic welding machines, and plastic forming
machines. Other applications can be found in the food and pharmaceutical industries
or any situation in which efficient band heating is required. In addition, strip
band heaters can be modified to meet the demands of virtually any special applications.

supply MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION:
Stainless steel top and aluminized
steel bottom for fast heat transfer. All stainless
steel heaters also available. Designs consistently
offer maximum resistor coverage. Ends of heaters
incorporate folded-in lips to resist contamination. All
bands are accurately formed to the specified dimensions . Reliable
welded internal termination junction whether screw or lead terminals are specified. A
variety of lead protection systems are available to protect against flexing abrasion
and contamination. Available with 1/8",
3/16" or 1/4" thick steel plate to prevent hot spot if required. |
